WATCHMEN Pilot Adds More to Cast, Including AQUAMAN's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

Production on Damon Lindelof's Watchmen pilot is well underway, and the potential series is being headlined by the likes of Regina King and Jeremy Irons. Now, we have some more additions to the cast.

HBO has announced (via TV Line) that actors Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sara Vickers, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, and Jacob Ming-Trent have joined the Watchmen cast in major roles. This marks Abdul-Mateen II's second DC role; he plays the villain Black Manta in this winter's Aquaman movie. No character details have been disclosed yet.

Watchmen will not re-adapt the comic, but it will tell an original story inspired by its events. No premiere date has been set yet. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
