THE FLASH Promotes Jessica Parker Kennedy to Series Regular for Season 5

Last season on The Flash, a mysterious girl played by Jessica Parker Kennedy was introduced. She first appeared in the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover before recurring in later episodes, constantly hinting at her identity. As many fans theorized, the finale confirmed that she is Barry and Iris' daughter, Nora, from the future.

Well, get ready to see a lot more of Nora. It has been announced (via TV Line) that Jessica Parker Kennedy has been promoted to a series regular for The Flash's fifth season. She joins recently upgraded actors Danielle Nicolet (Cecille Horton) and Hartley Sawyer (Elongated Man), who were also promoted for season five.

The news comes as The Flash is getting ready to resume filming this summer. Casting is also underway for the season's new big bad, who is rumored to be Cicada. Stay tuned for more updates as we have them.
