DEADPOOL 2 Already Breaking Some Advance Ticket Sales Records

We’re now less than a month away from the release of Fox’s Deadpool 2. This week, the studio released the final trailer, and advance tickets went on sale. Now, the film is already setting new records.

Fandango has announced (via Deadline) that Deadpool 2 is currently on track to become the biggest R-rated pre-seller in the company’s history, beating 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey. The film is also selling like crazy at Regal Cinemas, easily breaking their 24-hour record and outperforming IT.

Meanwhile, Deadpool 2 is now the third biggest pre-seller on Fandango this year, behind only Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther. Fandango’s Erik Davis had this to say about the sales. “Thanks in part to Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld’s exclusive FanShop poster offer with tickets, fans flocked to Fandango to reserve their seats as soon as tickets were available.”

Needless to say, the Deadpool 2 hype train is going strong, and it’ll only keep going as we get closer to its release.

Deadpool 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 18th. The 11th installment of the X-Men franchise stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, Karan Soni, Jack Kesy, Shiori Kutsuna, and Julian Dennison. David Leitch directs from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
