Michael Bay Eyed to Direct LOBO Movie for Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has been developing DC movie Lobo on-and-off for years. Most recently, Jason Fuchs (who worked on Wonder Woman) was hired to write a new script, but that was two years ago, and we hadn’t had any major updates since. Now, the film is moving forward, and it’s targeting one of the world’s biggest action directors.

According to The Wrap, filmmaker Michael Bay is being eyed by Warner Bros to direct Lobo. Bay has met with the studio to share notes on the movie, which will then be incorporated into Fuchs’ rewrite. After the rewrite is finished, the studio hopes to strike a deal with Bay to make the movie. Oh, and they also hope Lobo will be their answer to Deadpool.

Of course, Bay has directed many hit action movies, such as Bad Boys, Armageddon, and all five Transformers movies. With Bay looking to exit the latter franchise, he surely has had his options for his next movie. Could a trip to the DC Universe be it? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
