BLACK LIGHTNING First Look: Anissa Pierce Suits Up as Thunder

We’re more than a week away from the premiere of Black Lightning, The CW’s latest DC show. The series follows Jefferson Pierce as he comes out of retirement and resumes the mantle of Black Lightning, the hero of his city. But he won’t be the only hero.

DC Comics has released a first look at Jefferon’s daughter, Anissa, suited up as the hero Thunder. In the comics, Anissa’s powers include impenetrability and shockwaves. Anissa’s younger sister, Jennifer, goes on to become a superhero too, taking the name Lightning. However, it’s unknown if the show is going that route…yet.
