Let’s finish off this Pokemon Week with yet another spin-off title. This time, it's Pokken Tournament. Pokken was first released back in 2015 for Wii U, with an “expansion pack” of the game going by the name of Pokken Tournament DX releasing in September last year. It’s the Expansion pack for Nintendo Switch that I’m reviewing today.

The game is a 3D fighter in the style of Namco Bandai's usual style for their fighting games. Have you played games like Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm, Soul Calibur or Tekken, I can’t see you have a problem to get into this game. The game works smoothly and is easy to understand. For any new potential player reading this, I recommend you to start with Pikachu. The electric mouse is the easiest to start with out of all the 21 Pokemon (23 if you count DLC).

Pokken Tournament, no matter what version you purchase, is a game best suited for multiplayer. Yes, there is a single player mode such as “story mode,” which is only online play and tournaments wit…

Opinion: Why POKEMON STADIUM Needs to Return

I can imagine some reactions right now. Going from being confused, horrified or downright shocked. Getting nightmares from the days of old on how a simple random trailer could be so horrifying because you were afraid that a gamble you took would fail miserably.

For you that wonder what I’m talking about, let me give you some context. On August 1, 1999, Pokemon Stadium was released in Japan, with a western release one year later. While there isn't a story to follow or Pokemon to catch, there is still the access to defeat gym leaders and different types of tournaments. You also have the chance to play some small variety of mini-games or play free battles again your friends or computer. The way you had access to Pokemon was to either pre-build Pokemon that the game gave you to use or your Pokemon from a Gameboy color game if you connected them via a transfer pack. One year later, a sequel was released, which pretty much is the same game but with the access to generation two Pokemon an…

REVIEW: Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness

Pokemon XD Gale Darkness is a sequel to Pokemon Colosseum. It takes place in the same region, but a couple of years after the events that happened in the previous game. While you don’t play as the same character as before, the objective is still the same, and the use of only double battles is here as well.

How does it compare compared to Colosseum? It has its advantage towards it, but also disadvantages.

Unlike ColusseumGale of Darkness allows you to save wherever you are, compared to Coliseum who hade the idiotic inclusion of save stations. Something that Gale of Darkness also has improvements on is about purification (which is the part of how you heal the monsters). Here in Gale of Darkness, you have something called the purify chamber, something Colusseum never had. In this chamber, the player is allowed to purify nine pokemon at the same time.

In the prequel, the only option was fighting, walking, or buying massages; while I didn’t have anything against it being the only thre…

New Trailer for ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL Released

Alita: Battle Angel is one of those movies that I can’t wait to watch. With the third trailer now released, my anticipation for this movie has been raised a lot. As a fan of both the manga and the ova, I can’t wait to watch this.

First ELSEWORLDS Promo Rewrites Arrowverse History

There is a lot to look forward to if you are a DC Comics fan. Be it Aquaman and Joker on the big screen, or Gotham and the Arrowverse on the smaller screen. The latter one has now released a small teaser for their upcoming "Elseworlds" event, featuring Oliver Queen and Iris West. To put it lightly, they're taking the "Oliver Queen and Barry Allen swapping places" concept very seriously.

BLACK LIGHTNING Shifting to Monday Nights, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Heading for Big Hiatus

The CW has announced its midseason schedule for early 2019, and it includes a couple big changes for the network's DC slate.

Black Lightning will be moving from Tuesday nights to Mondays at 9 PM EST, beginning on January 21st, after the midseason return of Arrow. This marks the first schedule change for the show, which has occupied the Tuesdays at 9 slot for its first season and a half.

The Mondays at 9 slot has been held by Legends of Tomorrow, so what will that show do for midseason? Well, after its midseason finale in December, the show will be on hiatus until April. It will return to its timeslot after Black Lightning finishes its season.

In Colosseum, you follow the protagonist of Wes, a mysterious young man that becomes the keystone to stop an evil organization that does evil experience with Pokemon.

With me reviewing Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Crystal, some of you probably thought that Emerald was next. You were close to being right since I was a finger snap from doing so. However, looking through the pile of Pokemon games, I realized that I owned some that deserves more recognition. One of them is Pokemon Colosseum.

Besides being the first 3D Adventure game for Pokemon (as well as the first home console RPG), Colosseum is breaking the mold when it comes to a typical Pokemon game. There is traditional fighting (although all of them is double and not single like most usually are nowadays). However, there are no gym leaders or elite four. The main plot is about stopping this organization mentioned in the synopsis.

The way of capturing Pokemon? Steal the Pokemon that have been an experiment on so you can cure them of…

First DETECTIVE PIKACHU Trailer Released

The idea of a live action Pokemon is something I’ve personally been against from day one. The reason for that is I’ve always felt the design doesn’t work for CGI which would be needed.  So you can understand my reaction when I’ve heard the news about a live-action adaptation of the spin-off game of Detective Pikachu

Flash forward to today, and we have the first trailer to the movie. Had this been an animated film, it would have sold me right on the go. However, this movie is not animated. I was not a fan of how the Pokemon looked, but who knows. Maybe they will look better once the movie is released. It's a few months away after all.

What do you think of this trailer? Do you think I’m crazy? Do you agree with me? Comment below and let us know or tweet at us at @WOBAMEnt.

FEATURE: Nine Pokemon that Need an Evolution

9. Weezing
Some of you might ask. What? Weezing? He is used competitively from time to time. While I do stand that Weezing doesn’t need one when it comes to stats, abilities and all that jazz, I think they there is still potential in the Weezing family. That’s why this Pokemon is so low on the list.

8. Rapidash

While this is not as reliable as Weezing, I would argue that Rapidash is here due to the same reason. The potential of what they could make with this fire horse design could go much further than just a stereotypical unique. Maybe give it wings and go full mythology?

7. Lanturn
Granted, this electric fish is workable for online play. I have even used it myself from time to time. But having the great type combo of Electric and Water (making it only weak to grass and electric) deserves more than good health points which are the only redeemable quality of it when it comes to stats. The evolution would need that much to give it that big of a stat buff in its base stats. 20 in both spec…

VENOM Sets Record-Breaking Opening in China, Nears $700 Million Worldwide

Venom is still going strong, and this weekend, it finally opened in China, where it has had a record-breaking opening weekend.

The Sony Marvel movie is opening with an estimated $111 million, which is one of the biggest movie debuts in China's history. It is the second biggest superhero opening, behind Avengers: Infinity War's $191 million, while it is Sony's largest debut in the country. And sure enough, this is giving the movie a huge boost in its box office.

Venom is now at $206.2 million domestically and $467.3 million overseas, bringing its worldwide total to $673.5 million. That number is bound to go higher as it continues in China and other markets. At this point, it's probably going to make more than Sony's Amazing Spider-Man movies - and with a much smaller production budget, no less.

Stay tuned for more box office updates as we have them.

Pokemon Crystalis the second generations’ answer to Pokemon Yellow (although Yellow was closer to the anime than what Crystal was). Just like before, you play as an avatar who gets access to a Pokemon, so that you can take on the gym leader challenge while stopping an evil organization along the way. Outside of introducing more Pokemon and two new types (steel and dark), the second generation added new mechanics.

Day and Night Cycles
A mechanic that is what you think it is. The game has its own day/night interaction with it being day and night in the game depending on what time you chose at the start. The day and night cycle creates so that you can only find certain Pokemon in a specific timeframe. Some are only available in the morning, while some are only accessible during the night.

Hold Items
This mechanic is, like the Day and Night cycles, rather self-explanatory. The next generation of Pokemon games allows the trainer to make their Pokemon hold items. This mechanic adds a lot of…

Andy Bean (The Divergent Series: Allegiant) and Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009) has been cast as the titular character in DC Universe's Swamp Thing. Bean will be playing scientist Alec Holland, and Mears will be playing the creature Bean transforms into - the Swamp Thing.

The James Wan project continues to add to its cast. Mears and Bean join Jennifer Beals (The Book of Eli), Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf), and Maria Sten.

Here's the official character synopsis on Alec Holland and Swamp Thing respectively:

Passionate biologist Alec Holland is caught in the cross-hairs of a small town nightmare when he discovers a bizarre local illness may be connected to his work in the swamp. Holland's discovery leads him into conflict with dark forces, from which he emerges as the elemental hero known as Swamp Thing.

Emerging from the swamp with a monstrous physique and strange new powers over plant life, the man who was once Alec Holland struggles to hold onto his humanity. When dark forces …

Rumor: Character for HBO's WATCHEMEN Revealed?

If you are a fan of Watchmen, be it the comic by Alan Moore or the film adaptation by Zack Snyder, you are more likely aware that HBO is doing a Watchmen TV show. Outside of some actors being part of the cast, we don’t know much about the show.  If Slashfilm is right, we now know when it takes place.

I say when because according to them, the legendary actor Jeremy Irons is playing an older Adrian Veidt also known as Ozymandias. However, their report doesn’t stop there. According to them, Jean Smart (who isn’t a stranger to comic book considering her role in Legion)

According to them, Smart is playing a character with the name of Agent Blake. If you know your Watchmen lore, Blake is the after the name for a certain vigilante called The Comedian. Time will tell if this is a homage to the character or an actual daughter of him.

The Next KINGSMAN Movie Won't Include Eggsy

If where you were hoping Taron Edgerton was returning as the street kid turned super spy Eggsy, I have some bad news for you. The upcoming Robin Hood star confirmed that during an interview with Yahoo UK.

He insists that, while he isn’t part of the third installment, that doesn’t close the door to suit up some more and talk about how manners make the man. Considering the third installment is meant to be a prequel that takes during World War I, it might not be so shocking after all that Eggsy isn’t involved.

What do you guys think of all this? Comment below and let us know, or tweet at us at @WOBAMEnt.

This review is part of our 7 Days of Pokemon Games. Click here for more WOBAM awesome. On February 27, 1996, a new franchise was about to take the world by storm. Nobody knew what to think of it. Would it fly away as quickly as it appeared, or make a mark like an alien with a cornfield? Here we are now, twenty-two years later and the franchise is still going strong.

If Red and Blue were the first, why am I reviewing Yellow and not either Red or Blue? It boils down to a few things. The first is, Yellow is the only game that I own of the “original three” that still works (and by work I mean it’s memory battery hasn’t died yet for some reason), and it also fits with another post that is coming later this week.  Without further complications, let’s get ready to rumble.

For you that are unaware of how a mainline Pokemon game works, let me explain. You play as an avatar that lives in a world filled with creatures called Pokemon. In this world, people capture this creature, to train and bat…

STAR WARS Character Cassian Andor Getting His Own Show on Disney Streaming Service

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story introduced many new characters to the universe, such as Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna). Unfortunately, like every other new character, Cassian died at the end. But it looks like we'll be seeing more of him in the franchise's future.

It has been announced that a series starring Cassian Andor is heading to Disney+, the studio's newly titled streaming service. Diego Luna will reprise the role. The "rousing spy thriller" will follow Cassian's adventures in the formative years of the Rebellion and before the events of Rogue One. No release date yet.

Luna had this to say about returning to a galaxy far, far away. "Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply."

DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY Trailer #3 Released

IGN has released a third (and final?) trailer for the upcoming movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly. In this trailer, we get some more tidbits of the action, and I can say right up front. Dragon Ball should stay animated. I mean, the amount of destruction that appears to be in the movie is just glorious.

Why Tom King's 'Batman' Is The Best Superhero Comic Out

What makes a great superhero comic? It's a tough question. You can look back through the decades and a few really standout: Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man, Brubaker's Captain America, Johns' Justice League and Snyder's Batman. And in all honesty, I'm not sure where you put Hickman's run at Marvel in the 2010s? It spawned two of the best events in the last decade, Infinity and Secret Wars, and somehow it was all connected. What he did is beyond words.

What do all these comics have in common? Sorry, it's not some out-of-the-box answer, but simply, a clear beginning, middle and end. And that does make a difference. It gives the reader a sense of completion, which is vital if you're making a classic comic book run.

Let's a take a look at King's story so far, shall we? (Minor Spoilers For King's Batman)

The Beginning  King's Batman started with two new heroes saving Bruce's life, Gotham and Gotham Girl. Two heroes on the same power-leve…

How LUKE CAGE and IRON FIST's Stories Can Continue After Netflix Cancellations

Netflix recently made headlines with the decision to cancel two of its Marvel shows, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Fans have talked a lot about the news, why the shows got cancelled, and what it means for the rest of Netflix's Marvel slate. But one big question remains: What is the future of Iron Fist and Luke Cage in the MCU?

In the announcement on Iron Fist's cancellation, it was said that the character will "live on," which led to speculation about a revival for Disney Play. Meanwhile, there hasn't been anything on a potential comeback for Luke Cage yet. But both shows have plenty of potential for more stories, especially after their last seasons ended in big cliffhangers that might never get resolved.

Here, we will discuss some potential options for continuing the stories of Carl Lucas and Danny Rand...

Heroes for Hire
The most prominent fan theory regarding Iron Fist and Luke Cage's cancellations suggests that the two will be combined into a single Heroes for…

DEADPOOL 2 PG-13 Cut Gets a Title, New Release Date and More

A couple months ago, 20th Century Fox made headlines by announcing an untitled Deadpool movie for December of this year. It was later reported that this would be a PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2. Now, we have details on what exactly this movie is, when it will be in theaters, and more.

The movie is called Once Upon a Deadpool, and it will have a limited theatrical run from December 12th to December 24th (aka Christmas Eve). The film is an edited version of Deadpool 2, bringing it down to PG-13. It will also have new footage in the form of a framing sequence, which is a bedtime story with Deadpool and Fred Savage that parodies The Princess Bride. This version of the film is three minutes shorter than Deadpool 2.

The framing sequence consists of eight scenes, which were all filmed in one day. Star Ryan Reynolds adds that for every single ticket sold, $1 will be donated to F*ck Cancer (which will be renamed "Fudge Cancer" in the movie promotion).

In the past, Fox was reluctant to make…

AMC Announces Three THE WALKING DEAD Movies Starring Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes

This week's The Walking Dead was billed as the final episode for lead man Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln. Don't worry, we won't spoil how he was written off here. However, it looks like Rick does have a future in the franchise...but not in the way you'd expect.

AMC has announced that Rick will headline three movies set in The Walking Dead universe. Andrew Lincoln will reprise the role. Chief content officer Scott M. Gimple is writing the trilogy, with the first installment expected to begin shooting next year. These will be AMC Studios Original Films and will likely air on the network, which is also seeking a partner to share costs. They will also be full-length movies with big budgets.

Lincoln chose to exit The Walking Dead so that he could spend more time with his family in England. It's unclear where production on the movies will take place. However, Lincoln is expected to be on set for two months per film, compared to a whopping nine months a year on se…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 4

Catch up on our previous reviews here.

Alright, before we get into Titans, a quick lesson in Hunter Safety.

In the state of Ohio, it is a first-degree misdemeanor to possess or use a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. Leave the booze for after the hunt.Be a good woodsman: Don’t litter. Especially don’t litter your empty beer cans.Hunt in the properly designated areas; don’t trespass. Get permission from the landowner before hunting on their property or stick to the public hunting grounds.Unless you’re lining up for a shot, keep your safety on. You never know when a green tiger will scare you, causing you to trip and fall, your firearm to go off, and you narrowly avoid shooting your buddy in something more fatal than his arm.

Episode four of Titans opens with the origin of Garfield Logan (Ryan Potter). The last one living from an outbreak of a disease we’re told he contracted from a rare primate, Doctor Nile Caulder (Bruno Bichir) used a mysterious serum to save Gar’s life, w…
