LUKE CAGE Season 2 Begins Production

After a very successful first season, Netflix renewed Marvel’s Luke Cage for a second season. Luke’s adventures continue in The Defenders crossover miniseries this year, but fans are still excited to see another standalone story for the Power Man. And now, it looks like production is underway.

According to On Location Vacation, season two of Luke Cage began filming this week in New York City. As of Tuesday, it is shooting in studio at Broadway Stages in Brooklyn. Its production codename is “Tiara.”

With the season now in production, expect Marvel to announce casting for new characters soon. A premiere date has yet to be confirmed officially, but expect it to drop sometime next year, alongside new seasons of Jessica Jones and Daredevil.
