DEADPOOL 2 Casts Jack Kesy as a Villain

Production on 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool sequel begins later this summer. Directed by David Leitch, the film will see the return of Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth and many other characters from the first movie. The sequel also introduces Josh Brolin’s Cable and Zazie Beetz’ Domino. Now, the movie has cast its villain…or one of them, anyways.

According to Deadline, The Strain actor Jack Kesy has been cast as a “major” villain in Deadpool 2. While unconfirmed, it sounds likely that Kesy is playing Black Tom Cassidy, who is “…a Dublin-born mutant who can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life. He is also capable of issuing concussive blasts with a wooden object, usually a shillelagh.” It’s unclear if Black Tom is the big bad of the film, or if there will be multiple villains involved.
