WONDER WOMAN Officially Gets its PG-13 Rating

The MPAA has sent out its movie ratings for this week, and among them is DC Films’ Wonder Woman. To the surprise of literally no one, the superhero movie has been given a PG-13 rating.

Wonder Woman has been rated PG-13 for “sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content.” So, pretty much exactly what was expected. Tons of action and violence are to be expected in these movies. Meanwhile, past DC films have had sensuality or suggestive content as a reason for their PG-13 ratings, so the trend continues here.

Wonder Woman‘s rating comes just as the film is entering the final leg of its marketing campaign. Warner Bros, recently released a new (and final?) theatrical trailer, while the studio is expected to promote the film at WonderCon within the next couple weeks. So, stay tuned for more as we have it.
