SyFy’s KRYPTON Pilot Adds Six More to Cast

Previously, SyFy announced that actors Cameron Cuffe and Georgina Campbell will star in the Krypton pilot, which explores the planet’s history before its destruction and the birth of Kal-El. Now, via Deadline, the network has announced the remainder of the series regular cast. Below is a list of the actors as well as their characters.

  • Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones) will play Val-El, the grandfather of Seg-El (Cuffe), great-grandfather of Jor-El, and the great-great-grandfather of Kal-El. Val is described as “..a rogue genius who believes that space exploration is a basic form of self-defense, and he has tried, without success, to warn the Kryptonian elite about the arrival of an ancient threat.”
  • Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons) is Daron Vex, the Chief Magistrate of Kandor who defends Krypton’s established oligarchy against heretics and dissidents.
  • Ann Ogbomo (World War Z) is Primus Alura Zod, an “extremely tough and demanding” officer who is Lyta Zod’s (Campbell) mother and a leader of Krypton’s military guild.
  • Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness) plays Kem, a “brilliant” yet rankless engineer who is Seg-El’s best friend and partner in an underground tech-repair business.
  • Wallis Day (The Royals) will play Nyssa Vex, a junior magistrate and the daughter of Daron Vex (Cowan).
  • And finally, Aaron Pierre (Tennison) plays Dev-Em, a cadet under the command of Primus Alura Zod (Ogbomo).
If ordered to series, Krypton will likely premiere on SyFy sometime next year. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
