SUICIDE SQUAD Covers This Week’s Entertainment Weekly

This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly is focused on Suicide Squad, the next installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is featured on not one, not two, but four different covers for the issue. Additionally, the magazine reveals some new details on the movie.

Suicide Squad takes place after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which saw Superman sacrifice himself in his battle with Doomsday. In Suicide Squad, the government is searching to fill the void left by the Man of Steel, in case another evil alien arrives on Earth. What is Amanda Waller’s proposal? Assemble a team of supervillains, aka the Suicide Squad.

Waller’s first target for the team is June Moone, aka Enchantress. Her proposal is greenlit during a “mystical” attack on Midway City. Then, it’s go time. Oh, and those bombs inside each Squad member’s neck? Those were created by Wayne Enterprises.
