AQUAMAN Recruits Will Beall to Write Latest Script

Back in 2014, Warner Bros. hired Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad to write two competing scripts for Aquaman, in a dual-track format. Johnstad later landed the job, before David Leslie Johnson was hired to rewrite the draft. Now, Beall is returning to the DC film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Beall has been hired to write the latest draft of Aquaman. This time, his script will be based on a “detailed” story treatment written by director James Wan and DC Films co-chief Geoff Johns. The two collaborated to perfect the story, abandoning past development tracks. Beall will work with Johns and Wan while writing this script.

Jason Momoa and Amber Heard star as Aquaman and Mera, respectively. Additionally, THR reveals that Willem Dafoe’s Vulko, who we’ll meet in Justice League, will appear.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it. Aquaman is set to hit theaters on July 27th, 2018.
