Jared Leto Talks Joker's Future, Wants to Appear in Ben Affleck's BATMAN Film

Image
Jared Leto's Joker makes his debut in Suicide Squad, which finally hits theaters next Friday. Afterwards, the Clown Prince of Crime is expected to pop up again in the DC Extended Universe. Leto presumably signed a multi-picture contract, which is what caused Ryan Gosling to turn this role down. Now, the Oscar winner weighs in on his future as The Joker.

Speaking with Toronto Sun, Leto expresses interest in playing Joker again. He hopes that Suicide Squad will serve as an introduction to the character. "...I could easily just play the Joker a couple more times and then retire. Because it’s so fulfilling and so creative and it’s so imaginative. It’s really difficult to think about doing anything else!" He adds that if audiences love this Joker, then we'll probably going to see more of him.

But what film can Joker appear in next? Leto doesn't confirm or deny speculation of a Justice League cameo, but he would love to pop up in Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie. &…

FEATURE: 10 of the Joker's Finest Moments

Image
As we get closer to the release of Suicide Squad, we thought that now we be the perfect time to take a look at one of the be- I mean worst villains ever, the Joker. In this list we will be taking a look at some of the Joker's finest moments.
Now, a character like the Joker has many memorable moments in his 75 year history; to make things clear, I should say these are 10 of my favorite moments. Your list might look completely different, and that's okay! It should also be noted that spoilers will be in full force from here on out.
Ready? And here we go!
10. Injustice: Gods Among Us

Injustice: Gods Among Us is one of the best fighting games from the PS3/Xbox 360 generation of consoles. The story is about our favorite team of heroes [The Justice League] traveling to an alternate earth where Superman is an evil dictator. Now this game doesn't seem like it's about the Joker, but he's actually the main reason for Superman turning bad in the first place. The Clown Princ…

FEATURE: Five Ideas for SUICIDE SQUAD Movie Spin-Offs

Image
In addition to a planned sequel, there has been talk of spin-offs from DC Films' Suicide Squad. Writer-director David Ayer says there's plenty of potential for "zillions" of other movies spawning from this one. Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is expected to star in a female ensemble film, while spin-offs for Joker and Boomerang are rumored to be considered. Obviously, all of this depends on whether the first movie is a box office hit.

Suicide Squad introduces many new villains into the DC Extended Universe, and assuming the film does succeed, audiences will want to see more of them. One way that can be accomplished is by giving some characters their own standalone movies.

Below, I've compiled a list of five ideas for Suicide Squad movie spin-offs.

Deadshot
Next to Joker and Harley Quinn, Deadshot is arguably the most anticipated character in Suicide Squad. Played by Will Smith, the fan-favorite assassin is a pretty obvious choice for a spin-off. Warner Bros. will…

King Shark Was Considered for SUICIDE SQUAD, Says David Ayer

Image
David Ayer and the cast of Suicide Squad held a Q&A session on Twitter today. During Ayer's turn, the writer-director was asked if there was a character he had considered for the film, but ultimately dropped. Turns out he considered a pretty big addition.

Ayer reveals that King Shark was considered for the Suicide Squad team. However, he explains that bringing the character to life would have required plenty of CG work, and he didn't feel comfortable with creating a fully CG character. Thus, Killer Croc was added instead.

King Shark is a frequent member of the Suicide Squad in the comics and animation. He was also featured on The Flash last season, showcasing some of the show's greatest CG work. King Shark was even rumored to appear in Suicide Squad last year, but obviously, that didn't happen. Oh well, maybe in Suicide Squad 2...
Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit…

SUICIDE SQUAD Will Have a Mid-Credits Scene

Image
Recently, it has become a popular trend for superhero movies to have an additional scene during or after the credits. Marvel Studios does it in every film, while the X-Men franchise began to do it a few years ago.

However, DC Films' Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice did not have an after- or mid-credits scene. Green Lantern did, and we all know how that went. But that's finally about to change with Suicide Squad next week.

Comic Bookhas confirmed that Suicide Squad will have an extra scene in the middle of the credits. The scene is described as "pivotal and important." No further details are known. However, don't expect anything after the credits.

So when you go see Suicide Squad next weekend, be sure to stick around a little longer and catch the mid-credits scene. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters August 5th. The third installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared …

FEATURE: Ten Characters Who Could Join the Team in SUICIDE SQUAD 2

Image
Suicide Squad is only one week from release, but there are already talks of a potential sequel. A few months ago, it was reported that Warner Bros. is lining up writer-director David Ayer and star Will Smith to return for Suicide Squad 2, with plans to begin production next year. So, it is likely one of the two untitled 2018/2019 films recently dated by WB. Additionally, Ayer expressed interest in making the sequel with an R rating.

Over the years, many DC Comics characters have served as members of the Suicide Squad. And given the very concept of the group, we can expect at least a couple casualties in the movie. So, it would make sense to add more members to the team in a sequel.

Below, I've compiled a list of ten DC Comics characters who should be considered for Suicide Squad 2.
Deathstroke
Deathstroke was heavily rumored to appear in the first Suicide Squad movie, but as far as we know, that's not happening. However, he may be popping up in a DC film sooner than later. Arro…

Marc Guggenheim Teases Supergirl's Role in The CW's Four-Show DC Crossover

Image
Now that Supergirl has moved from CBS to The CW, it's easier to cross over with the latter network's DC shows. The CW previously confirmed that Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will have an epic crossover event this fall. It is expected to be told in three episodes of Flash, Arrow and Legends.

So, how will Supergirl fit in? Marc Guggenheim spoke with /Filmabout the big crossover, hinting at how Kara Zor-El will meet the other heroes. "It’s an external threat from outside the shows that will involve Supergirl coming over to Flash, then Arrow then Legends of Tomorrow." Of course, it's unknown who, or what, this threat is. But Guggenheim cautions that they're not making a full-blown Supergirl crossover episode, per say. "She is going to be coming over but we’re not going to do a full on Supergirl crossover episode. I don’t want to give you the wrong impression."

Story details on the four-show crossover are being kept under …
