Tyler Hoechlin Set to Play Superman on SUPERGIRL Season 2

A few weeks ago, it was confirmed that Superman is finally appearing in the flesh on Supergirl next season. This marks the Man of Steel’s return to television after Smallville, and it happens just as Henry Cavill’s Supes is playing a key role in the DC Extended Universe.

Now, Supergirl has finally cast an actor to don the iconic suit. Warner Bros. has confirmed that Teen Wolf alum Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman. He will guest star in the first two episodes of the new season, which premieres next fall on The CW.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had this to say about the news. “Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman. We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”
