GOTHAM Casts Mr. Freeze’s Wife; JURASSIC PARK Alum to Play Hugo Strange

After much teasing, Dr. Hugo Strange is finally coming to GothamComicBook.com confirms that actor B.D. Wong is set to play the future Batman villain on the Fox series, in a recurring role. Wong is best known for his role as Dr. Henry Wu in Jurassic Park and this year’s sequel, Jurassic World.

In Gotham, Hugo Strange will be hired to run Arkham Asylum. However, it turns out that he will be the man behind Indian Hill, a facility recently introduced on the show. Fox tells ComicBook.com that Indian Hill is a black-ops program run by Wayne Enterprises. The facility is “dedicated to creating the ultimate super human… [or] super villain.”

It is unknown which episode of Gotham will mark Strange’s first appearance, but the show will officially serve as the live action debut of the character.

Meanwhile, we recently received casting news for Victor Fries, aka the future Mr. Freeze. Naturally, casting for his wife Nora follows. According to Zap2it, Being Human alum Kristen Hager is set to play Nora Fries, the terminally ill wife of Victor.

Gotham‘s version of Nora Fries has also received an official description by Fox, teasing her role in the series as well as Victor’s characterization. “Thanks to her smarts, sincerity and a lighthearted sensibility, she’s the only person who’s managed to connect with the otherwise emotionally cold cryogenicist. As her condition worsens and her husband becomes more desperate to save her life, Nora must make the ultimate choice: play the willing participant in Victor’s mad plan or sacrifice herself to stop the monster inside of him.”

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
