Zack Snyder Discusses MAN OF STEEL 2 and Over-Saturation of Superhero Films!

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice? More like Man of Steel 2 according to Zack Snyder! This wasn't the only thing Snyder had to say in a recent interview with jam.canoe.com, as he also talked about the future of Man of Steel 2 and the over-saturation of superhero films.

When asked if he ever thought he was going to direct Justice League one day, he had this to say-

“At that point I was really into The Dark Knight Returns.I don’t know that I thought about it in those terms, but if you told me that I might make a Justice League movie, I wouldn’t think that that was weird. But I don’t think I would realize what it meant to pop culture the way it has struck pop culture right now.”

Snyder also addressed the more traditional movie-goers and Steven Spielberg who believe there is an over-saturation of superhero films

“The pressure’s on us, the filmmakers, to make the movies better. It’s about human stories; it’s not just about big explosions and stuff. What are these people feeling?”

Snyder then commented on the future of Man of Steel 2!

“I think in a way Batman v Superman is Man of Steel 2Justice League is kind of the transcendent, knights-of-the-round-table of the story. It’d be interesting to think about what a standalone Superman movie might be.”

We are all very excited to see Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice when it releases March 25, 2016!

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis' most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
