BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Officially Gets its PG-13 Rating
In the most unsurprising news of the day, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has received a PG-13 rating. Today, MPAA has released its ratings for several different movies, including the Zack Snyder-directed superhero epic. According to the company, Batman v Superman will be rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality.” Pretty much every superhero movie in recent years has been rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence and action throughout,” so that is not a shocker at all. Some sensuality, though? Hmm… But another thing the rating tells us is that the final cut for Batman v Superman is pretty much done –…

GOTHAM Review: Knock, Knock
Warning: This review contains spoilers In the second episode of Gotham’s sophomore season, we see yet another solid episode. We still have some issues with the tone and pacing, but it was a lot better than previous episodes. We start off with the Maniax, which is apparently what our team of psychopaths’ are calling themselves. They are on the roof of the Gotham Gazette, and are spray-painting the letters M-A-N-I-A-X-! on helpless reports as they throw them of the roof and onto the street. They want the people of Gotham to be in fear of them. They want to be in control of Gotham City. This is what makes the lack of the Penguin is this episode so…

WB Interactive’s vice president talks DC Comics video games
Batman: Arkham Knight may be the final game in Rocksteady Studios’ Arkham trilogy, but that doesn’t mean it’s the last we’ll see of the Dark Knight. In an interview with Playstation Blog, Ames Kirshen, vice president of product development for the DC Comics games at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment gives us an idea of the company’s approach to these characters. “You have to understand and respect the core essence of the franchise,” Kirshen explained, “but you can’t be a slave to every single aspect of its history or continuity in translating it for the gaming medium.” “More importantly, you have to have the talent, vision, and passion from the development teams to make great…

Robbie Amell’s Pitch for a Batman Beyond Movie
While fielding questions regarding his role on Fox’s revival of The X-Files as well as his axed CW series The Tomorrow People at his Salt Lake Comic Con panel, Robbie Amell (younger cousin of Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell) was asked by a fan whether or not he’d be willing to play Terry McGinnis in a Batman Beyond film. Terrence “Terry” McGinnis, as you may know, took over the role of Batman after Bruce Wayne retired on the Batman Beyond television series which ran from 1999 to 2001. In fact, in DCAU (DC Animated Universe) continuity, he was Bruce’s son. McGinnis also appeared in various comics from DC Comics, including…

Tyrese Gibson launched a social media campaign to play John Stewart, and he was then joined by Lance Gross. Meanwhile, Idris Elba, who has long been the fan-favorite choice, entertained the idea a couple years ago. And now, another actor has…
