DC Collectibles Unveils Beautiful Wonder Woman Statue for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

This past summer, DC Collectibles revealed three statues from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. One is of Superman, one is of Batman, and one is of Batman's mech armor suit. Inevitably, another statue in this line is of Wonder Woman. And today, we have our first look at the latest figure.

Via Yahoo! Movies, DC has unveiled the Wonder Woman statue from the Batman v Superman series. Made in Gal Gadot's likeness, the statue was designed by James Marsano. It features everything from Wonder Woman's sword and shield to her tiara, bracelets and the lasso of truth. The detail on this thing is truly something else, making it a worthy addition to DC fans' shelves.

While the other Batman v Superman figures go on sale next January, the Wonder Woman statue won't be available until March, the month of the film's release. The figure carries a hefty $150 price tag. Check it out below, and stay tuned for more as we have it.

Vanessa Williams Cast as Iris West's Mom in THE FLASH Season 2

For those who've wondered where Iris's mom is in the CW Flash show, worry no more! She will be played by actress Vanessa Williams. Williams has been a mostly unknown actress, but she has had parts in Candyman and MelrosePlace. DC Comics has kept all other details, such as the episode she will be appearing in, under wraps.

There are two possible choices as to whom she will be playing, if they go with a character from the comics. Nadine West or Fran Russel are two possible choices, unless they create an entirely new character!

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Officially Gets its PG-13 Rating

In the most unsurprising news of the day, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has received a PG-13 rating.

Today, MPAA has released its ratings for several different movies, including the Zack Snyder-directed superhero epic. According to the company, Batman v Superman will be rated PG-13 for "intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality."

Pretty much every superhero movie in recent years has been rated PG-13 for "intense sequences of violence and action throughout," so that is not a shocker at all. Some sensuality, though? Hmm...

But another thing the rating tells us is that the final cut for Batman v Superman is pretty much done - and we're less than six months away from release. Not too shabby. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters March 25th, 2016. The second installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane La…

GOTHAM Review: Knock, Knock

Warning: This review contains spoilers

In the second episode of Gotham's sophomore season, we see yet another solid episode. We still have some issues with the tone and pacing, but it was a lot better than previous episodes. We start off with the Maniax, which is apparently what our team of psychopaths' are calling themselves. They are on the roof of the Gotham Gazette, and are spray-painting the letters M-A-N-I-A-X-! on helpless reports as they throw them of the roof and onto the street. They want the people of Gotham to be in fear of them. They want to be in control of Gotham City. This is what makes the lack of the Penguin is this episode so jarring. As of now the Penguin is the one in control of Gotham City, and if anyone else tries to take control he'll be there to stop it. Maybe this is a plot point they will visit a few episode's down the line. This will create an interesting dynamic between the GCPD, Penguin's gang and the Maniax.
Meanwhile Bruce is trying…

WB Interactive's vice president talks DC Comics video games

Batman: Arkham Knight may be the final game in Rocksteady Studios' Arkham trilogy, but that doesn't mean it's the last we'll see of the Dark Knight. In an interview with Playstation Blog, Ames Kirshen, vice president of product development for the DC Comics games at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment gives us an idea of the company's approach to these characters.
“You have to understand and respect the core essence of the franchise,” Kirshen explained, “but you can’t be a slave to every single aspect of its history or continuity in translating it for the gaming medium.”
“More importantly, you have to have the talent, vision, and passion from the development teams to make great games and treat them as they would an original IP. We’ve been blessed at WBIE with studios and talent such as Rocksteady, NetherRealm, and TT Games.”
This is what makes DC Comics video games the best in their class. The creative freedom NetherRealm, Rocksteady and TT Games have is special…

Robbie Amell's Pitch for a Batman Beyond Movie

While fielding questions regarding his role on Fox's revival of The X-Files as well as his axed CW series The Tomorrow People at his Salt Lake Comic Con panel, Robbie Amell (younger cousin of Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell) was asked by a fan whether or not he'd be willing to play Terry McGinnis in a Batman Beyond film.

Terrence "Terry" McGinnis, as you may know, took over the role of Batman after Bruce Wayne retired on the Batman Beyond television series which ran from 1999 to 2001. In fact, in DCAU (DC Animated Universe) continuity, he was Bruce's son. McGinnis also appeared in various comics from DC Comics, including New 52, in which McGinnis' Batman returned.

Amell answered the fan's question with the following response; "I am a huge fan of that idea," he said of Batman Beyond's concept, before following up with "I think the problem is because they have Batman going on right now, they won't make the Batman Beyond movie until…

Recently, Rocksteady released a Batman: Arkham Knight DLC featuring the Tumbler, the Batmobile used in The Dark Knight Trilogy. After much demand from fans, the studio confirmed that a Batsuit from the acclaimed movie saga would also be available on the game. This follows the 1989 Batman DLC, which included both the costume and the Batmobile from that film.

Rocksteady co-founder Sefton Hill polled fans regarding which suit should be used, the Batman Begins one or The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight Rises one. And now, we have a winner.

Today, Hill has confirmed that Rocksteady will release a Batman skin based on The Dark Knight. However, don't expect it to come out anytime soon; Hill cautions that these skins take much time to build, so it probably won't be available until the end of the year.

#BatPeoplePower has spoken. We're going to build the TDK batsuit! Thanks for your feedback! #ArkhamKnight — Sefton Hill (@Seftonhill) September 27, 2015

VEEP Alum DeMark Thompson Also Wants to Play the Next Green Lantern

Warner Bros. is set to introduce a new Green Lantern - or several - in the DC Extended Universe. The character will make his debut in 2017's Justice League Part One and/or 2019's Justice League Part Two, before going on to star in 2020's Green Lantern Corps. Naturally, while we wait for the studio to make an official casting announcement, many actors have been campaigning for the highly coveted role.

Tyrese Gibson launched a social media campaign to play John Stewart, and he was then joined by Lance Gross. Meanwhile, Idris Elba, who has long been the fan-favorite choice, entertained the idea a couple years ago. And now, another actor has thrown his hat into the ring - no pun intended.

The Blazerecently spoke with actor DeMark Thompson, who expressed his interest in playing Green Lantern. Thompson has a small acting resume, appearing in the film After Earth and has since appeared in shows such as Veep and House of Cards.

Thompson had this to say on how the current state of h…

Rumored Details on Release of Next BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Trailer(s)

So far, Warner Bros. has released two trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A two-minute teaser debuted in April, while a nearly four minute trailer premiered at Comic-Con. It has been widely expected that the studio would release at least one more trailer closer to the film's release. And now, a new rumor suggests that not one, not two, but three more trailers are on the way.

According to Heroic Hollywood- whose founder, El Mayimbe, initially broke the IMAX screenings news for the teaser trailer earlier this year - rumor has it that WB is planning on premiering two teaser trailers on live television on Monday, October 26th.

In case you didn't know, that same date will mark the premiere of CBS' Supergirl show, while Fox will air an episode of Gotham at the same time. So, one teaser would air with Supergirl, and it would be focused completely on Superman. Meanwhile, a Batman-centric teaser will air during Gotham. It is unknown if these teasers will then be relea…

Jason Momoa Hints at Some Classic Colors for His AQUAMAN Suit

While Jason Momoa's Aquaman look is great, a few fans were disappointed that it wasn't closer to the classic orange-and-green suit from the comics. Momoa's Aquaman is clearly inspired by Peter David's iteration - who was also shirtless and had long hair - but a straight-up adaptation of the more iconic one would have been interesting. But now, Momoa has hinted that those familiar colors may be present in his costume.

Speaking with The Robot's Voice, Momoa was asked if there will be any orange and green on his Aquaman uniform, and he suggests that there "might" be. "Well, there might be some bit of orange and green. A bit of respect to prior work, but I think he is meaner now and upset – look at what has been done to our oceans. That’s his world that has been polluted." Momoa also confirms that he has been scanned for Aquaman collectibles and toys, while he can't really say anything about his roles in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and t…

WONDER WOMAN Scribe Jason Fuchs Discusses Working on the DC Extended Universe

Last year, Pan screenwriter Jason Fuchs was reportedly hired to write one of several competing scripts for Wonder Woman, with his apparently being the winner. Now, the scribe has spoken with Colliderabout his involvement with the film, which finally begins shooting in November. Fuchs remains coy on whether or not he is actually involved with Wonder Woman, but his comments strongly suggest that he is. But whether or not he will be the only credited screenwriter on the movie remains to be seen.

"Warners has been very kind to me, I have to say," Fuchs states, before going on to share his thoughts on the DC Extended Universe as a whole. "This is what I would say. When you work for DC, it’s sort of like working for the CIA. You have a vow of silence. I think, as we speak, Zack Snyder’s gonna come in here and put a muzzle on me. The trouble with these things is that you really can’t say much. So I’m excited about everything that’s going on in that universe. And I’ve certainly…

GOTHAM Review: Rise of the Villains; Damned if You Do ...

Warning: This Review contains spoilers.

After an up and down season Gotham is has returned, and it's better? With the episode picking up a few months after the previous season ended. Gotham City is now under the complete control of the Penguin, Gordon has been demoted to police officer, Bullock has quit the force, and Barbara has been sent to Arkham Asylum. Jim having been relieved of his job is now in dire need of help. Gordon can't get his job back without the Penguin's assistance. Oswald knew this and in an effort to test Jim's loyalty, he gave him an offer he could not take. He wanted Jim to get a payment from another mob boss, which will obviously lead to some causalities. What made this episode fun was the interaction between Gordon and Penguin. Gordon having to make a deal with the devil made for some good character development and moral conflict. Having to go to extreme lengths for Cobbleppot should have major implications down the road. Jim can't just walk…

Zack Snyder Discusses MAN OF STEEL 2 and Over-Saturation of Superhero Films!

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice? More like Man of Steel 2 according to Zack Snyder! This wasn't the only thing Snyder had to say in a recent interview with, as he also talked about the future of Man of Steel 2 and the over-saturation of superhero films.
When asked if he ever thought he was going to direct Justice League one day, he had this to say-
“At that point I was really into The Dark Knight Returns.I don’t know that I thought about it in those terms, but if you told me that I might make a Justice League movie, I wouldn’t think that that was weird. But I don’t think I would realize what it meant to pop culture the way it has struck pop culture right now.”
Snyder also addressed the more traditional movie-goers and Steven Spielberg who believe there is an over-saturation of superhero films
“The pressure’s on us, the filmmakers, to make the movies better. It’s about human stories; it’s not just about big explosions and stuff. What are these people feeling?”
