ARROW News: TRUE BLOOD and ENLISTED Stars Join Cast for Season Four

A few days ago, we reported that Thea would have a new love named Alex interest this season on Arrow.  Today it’s been announced Parker Young of Enlisted has been cast in the role.  Meanwhile, the Wrap has reported that Hannibal and True Blood alum, Rutina Wesley will join the cast as well.

Parker Young is a native of Tucson, Arizona.  He broke into television and film in 2008 with a role on Days of Our Lives.  After several smaller roles on series like Mad Men and CSI: NY he landed a role on the series Suburgatory in 2011.  In 2014 he took a role on the Fox comedy, Enlisted.  Earlier this year he had a role on Fresh Off the Boat and later this year he will appear in the film Fourth Man Out. (imdb)

Rutina Wesley made her first on-screen appearance in 2007 in the film How She Move.  In 2008, she joined the cast of True Blood as “Tara Thorton.”  In 2012, she appeared in the film, California Winter (alongside future Flash actor, Michael Ironside) as “Marcy Sanchez.”  After the end of True Blood she joined the cast of Hannibal as “Reba McClane.” (imdb)

The Wrap article had no information on Wesley’s part on Arrow beyond it being part of a multi-episode arc.  Meanwhile, the part of “Alex Young” is described as “described as a smart and driven young man, who will work for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and become a potential love interest for Thea (Willa Holland).

Arrow returns October 7th.

Arrow airs Wednesdays on the CW 8E and is available streaming.
