Jena Malone and Callan Mulvey's Characters in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Revealed?

While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is deep into post-production, there are still plenty of things that are not known. For example, Warner Bros. has never officially confirmed who exactly Callan Mulvey and Jena Malone are playing in the film. The former has been speculated to be a villain (Doomsday? KGBeast? Metallo?), while the latter has been rumored to play Carrie Kelly. However, Malone has also been suggested for roles such as Barbara Gordon and Ellen Yindel. Well now, it looks like we may finally have some answers.

According to Heroic Hollywood, the rumor is that Callan Mulvey is indeed playing Anatoli Knyazev, aka KGBeast. Apparently, KGBeast is a henchman of Lex Luthor's in Batman v Superman, keeping tabs on metahumans. The movie version is apparently very different from the comics. It was rumored last year that KGBeast was in Dawn of Justice, and fans speculated that that could be who Mulvey is playing. Looks like they were right.

New Details on BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE's Batman, His History, SUICIDE SQUAD Connections and More

The Batman seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be a very different and older take on the Caped Crusader. Heavily inspired by The Dark Knight Returns, Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne has been fighting crime in Gotham for two decades. So clearly, we'll be meeting a very experienced Batman in this film, and this take on the character promises to be the best adaptation to date.

Now, some new details on his history and characterization have been revealed. Speaking with Empire Magazine (via CBM), director Zack Snyder confirmed that Dawn of Justice's Batman will be around 45 or 46. "He has been Batman for 20 years. All the history is there. Was there a Robin at one time? Possibly." Since this interview was conducted, the film's Comic-Con 2015 trailer confirmed that there was a Robin who was slain by The Joker, and his costume is on display in the Batcave. Producer Charles Roven also teased the loss of some of Batman's allies, saying, "He has lost tho…

Zack Snyder Discusses Building the DC Extended Universe and Leading to JUSTICE LEAGUE

While Man of Steel was the official start of the DC Extended Universe, next year will see the world fully opened up. We have Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad expanding this universe, with Wonder Woman, Aquaman and, of course, Justice League on the way. In the new issue of Empire Magazine (via CBM), director Zack Snyder explains the process of building this universe and leading into the 2017 superhero ensemble.

Snyder says that these films will make up one big storyline, with Justice League being the foundation. "What we are doing is ground up all the way. It is one giant story. The first thing we had was the Justice League concept. The other movies, in a way, have to support that. That is our Wonder Woman, our Aquaman. They have their own creative concepts that supports them, but they do serve Justice League in the coming together of those heroes." Speaking of Aquaman, Snyder rehashes that the character does have an "elusive" cameo in Batman v …

The latest issue of Empire Magazine is filled with plenty of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice goodies, and thanks to Comic Book Movie, we have some scanned still images from the film. In addition to the above shot of a pissed off Superman confronting Batman, we have new looks at the Daily Planet crew, Bruce Wayne and Alfred, Diana Prince, and more.

There's also a couple behind-the-scenes images. One is of Ben Affleck (in full Batman garb) speaking with director Zack Snyder, and the other is a closer look at that final shot from the Comic-Con trailer.

In addition, Empire held a lengthy interview (via CBM) with Snyder, as well as other producers for the film. Snyder explained that there was less pressure for Batman to co-star with Superman in Dawn of Justice than to have the Caped Crusader star in yet another solo film, because Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy has set the bar very high. "If it was a Batman movie it would be a much more difficult proposition be…

Chris Pine Finalizes Deal to Play Steve Trevor in WONDER WOMAN

After being fancast for various DC roles for years, Chris Pine entered negotiations to play Steve Trevor in the Wonder Woman movie a few months back. However, recent rumors suggested that that report was actually a smokescreen for Pine really playing Green Lantern/Hal Jordan, a role that many fans have wanted him to play.

Then, it was rumored that he was going to choose between Green Lantern and Steve Trevor. While we don't definitely know if that one was true, Pine has officially landed a DC movie role - and he's not gonna put a ring on it.

The Wrapconfirms that Chris Pine has closed his deal to play Steve Trevor. As expected, he signed a multi-picture contract to potentially reprise the role in sequels and other films set in the DC Extended Universe. And, yes, Trevor will be in on "plenty" of action in Wonder Woman, so he won't just be "Wonder Woman's boyfriend."

Wonder Woman will be directed by Patty Jenkins from a script by Jason Fuchs. Zack Snyd…

Batman, Superman and Lex Luthor Featured in Three New BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Stills

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the cover story for this week's issue of Empire, which is on sale this Thursday. We saw the cover the other day, and now, the magazine has released three official stills from the highly anticipated movie.

The first offers a look at Superman (Henry Cavill) inside of Wayne Manor, which has clearly been abandoned by Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and co., as stated previously. The second gives a visually stunning new glimpse of Batman in his armored mech suit, preparing to throw down with Kal-El. He uses the Batsignal, a "legacy from the Commissioner Gordon era," to grab Superman's attention.

The third and final still features the villainous Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). Behind him is a colorful new logo for his company, LexCorp. And, as a "duh" piece of news, Empire confirms that Luthor's hair will have its own arc in the series - think Charles Xavier in the X-Men saga.

Mark Hamill Reportedly Set to Voice The Joker in BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Movie

Mark Hamill has been voicing The Joker ever since 1992's Batman: The Animated Series. He has gone on to reprise the role in other film and television appearances in the DC Animated Universe, as well as the Batman: Arkham video game series. To this day, Hamill's take on The Joker is, in the minds of many fans, the best adaptation of the character to date. While most best recognize Hamill as Star Wars' Luke Skywalker, his work on Joker is almost as legendary.

Hamill "retired" from the character with 2011's Arkham City, although he did voice The Joker in brief hallucination scenes in the recently released Arkham Knight. He previously said he would come out of said retirement for an animated film based on Batman: The Killing Joke, if such a movie would happen. And the movie was announced at Comic-Con this month, with Hamill again expressing interest in returning.

Now, it looks like that is happening. According to Collider, Hamill is indeed returning to the role …

On the right, we have a new image of Henry Cavill's Superman.

Empire also spoke with the Batman v Superman cast and director Zack Snyder. The latter praises this iteration of Batman, saying, "There is just this gravitas to Batman. He is operatic." As for Superman, star Henry Cavill had this to say about how the Man of Steel is at the center of the film's story. "In this movie, everyone has split into different directions as to how they feel about this alien. Some people love him, some hate him. Other people fear him. Is he a tyrant?"

Snyder then commented on how this DC Extended Universe is being planned out. He reaffirms that the franchi…

Witness a divergent reality where the Justice League protects the planet – but answers to no one but themselves. Employing methods of intimidation and fear, this Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman deal brute force in the name of justice. From the creative genius of executive producer Bruce Timm and co-producer Alan Burnett comes an original story where the world’s greatest triumvirate of super heroes has distinctly different origins. Superman was not raised by the Kents in Smallville, the Caped Crusader is not Bruce Wayne, and Wonder Woman is not an Amazon warrior of Themyscira. They are as likely the world’s saviors as Earth’s despotic rulers. When a group of famed scientists experience untimely “accidents,” a government task force follows the trail of clues to the Justice League – but is there a more powerful player operating from the shadows? It’s a high stakes game of intrigue, mystery and action that asks the question: How do you serve justice to those above the law? [DC Comics]

New Details on Jay Garrick's Role on THE FLASH; Hawkman to Debut Before LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

Entertainment Weeklyhas posted a new "Spoiler Room" article, and in it, new details regarding two new characters coming to The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow were revealed.

First up, we have new insight on Jay Garrick's role on The Flash. The show's second season will focus on Barry Allen continuing to learn his powers, and luckily, the Flash from Earth-2 will help with that. Caitlin Snow actress Danielle Panabaker says, "[Jay]’s going to be a very cool mentor to Barry and he’s going to help Barry expand his powers and the things that he’s capable of doing." And Garrick's arrival will apparently have an impact on every member of Team Flash.

Meanwhile, EW also discussed Hawkman's role on the midseason series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. It looks like we could see this character appear even sooner during the first few episodes of The Flash and Arrow this season, which are already working towards building up to Legends. Also, this version of …

ARROW's Marc Guggenheim Talks Baron Reiter + Another Villain Joins Cast

So if you were like me when you read that Jimmy Akingbolawas going to join Arrow's cast in season four, you hit your favorite search engine and looked up Akingbola and saw a picture like this:

Then you looked up Baron Reiter and saw he was also known as Baron Blitzkrieg then clicked over into the pictures and saw this:

We wanted to come out of the gate strong with someone great and we wanted to, quite frankly, cast the best actor. As it turns out, our best actor was African-American."
While they took the name Baron Reiter without any intention for turning him into Blitzkrieg, they did have a reason for using him."We were attracted to an organization that actually in …
