Production on Suicide Squad is well underway in Toronto. Despite this, Warner Bros.’ DC Comics adaptation is still adding to its impressive ensemble cast. According to Variety, The Twilight Saga actor Alex Meraz has signed on to appear in the supervillain film. His role in the movie is, unsurprisingly, not known. It is also unspecified how big of a role he has. Fans are already speculating that it could be Dick Grayson/Nightwing or Jason Todd/Red Hood, among others. SUPERGIRL Expected to Be Ordered to Series; The CW to Premiere First ARROW/FLASH Spin-Off Footage Next Month
The more time that passes the more I’ve come to think of TV Pilot season like the NFL Draft with sites like Variety like the talking heads on ESPN. To run with that metaphor, the last few years DC Entertainment have become the perennial powerhouse school that cranks out NFL talent in every year’s draft. Among this year’s crop of hopefuls are Supergirl and the officially unnamed Flash/Arrow Spinoff. Both shows have the weight of Warner TV, DC and Greg Berlanti behind them, and both have picked up quite a bit of buzz. First up, is the Flash/Arrow spin-off that is in development for the CW: The series starring Brandon…

Behind The Scenes of Warner Bros.’ Creation of The DC Cinematic Universe
After years of pleading from fans, Warner Bros. is finally crafting its own cinematic universe based on DC Comics. Beginning with Man of Steel in 2013, this universe will be further expanded with next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. These will be followed by Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam, Cyborg, Green Lantern and a two-part Justice League epic. New solo films based on Batman and Superman are also in development. All of these films are expected to be released by 2020. While this is surely an ambitious plan, it hasn’t been without its bumps on the road. The Hollywood Reporter has published an article detailing the studio’s…

Production on Suicide Squad is now underway in Toronto, Ontario. The DC Comics adaptation will feature as the big screen debuts of characters such as Deadshot and Harley Quinn, while new iterations of Amanda Waller and The Joker are also featured. Suicide Squad is expected to be filled with many DC Universe villains, opening up that side of Warner Bros.’ growing cinematic world, while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will debut many of its heroes. Speaking of that movie, rumor has it that at least one character from Batman v Superman will return for this film. That would not be surprising, as both DC movies are scheduled to release next year.…

TNT’s TITANS Pilot Reportedly Gets a New Title; Production to Begin This Summer
It was announced last year that TNT was developing the pilot Titans, which is based on DC Comics’ Teen Titans. Since then, little else has been revealed. Geoff Johns said that the pilot would be filmed this year, while the lineup reportedly consists of Dick Grayson, Starfire, Raven, Hawk and Dove and Barbara Gordon. Otherwise, we haven’t heard anything…until now. According to Season Zero, the Titans pilot/potential series has a new name: Blackbirds. This is arguably a step down from the original title. But could this just be a working title, rather than the name that the final product will go with? Possibly. Season Zero also says that production is…

Rumor: Is Common Playing AQUAMAN Villain Black Manta in SUICIDE SQUAD?
Recently, it was revealed that actor-rapper Common has joined the cast of Suicide Squad, which is currently undergoing production. At the time, it was unclear which role he would play. Was he finally being given the chance to play Green Lantern John Stewart after Justice League: Mortal was canned? Or is he playing another character? Rumor has it that it is the latter, and Common may be playing a fan-favorite villain from the comics. According to JoBlo, Common might be playing none other than Black Manta, a frequent enemy of Aquaman. Manta has had connections to the Squad, as he turned down joining the team more than once in comic…

ARROW's David Ramsey Talks Diggle's Future
Arrow’s David Ramsey appeared a few days back at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo and talked to fans about the show. Considering the sheer amount DC Comics Movie news and teases and controversy to hit the internet it seems this flew a bit under the radar. Ramsey told fans about the final push of the season: he said that he and Felicity would strengthen their bond over the events that play out which we have already seen start to play out. He also said that the actions of Ra’s al Ghul will continue to have an impact on season four and considering that Oliver has joined the League of…

The Flash (1×19) – “Who is Harrison Wells?” Written by: Ray Utarnachitt & Cortney Norris Directed by: Wendey Stanzler *Note: Sorry for the lateness this week.
