The King of Atlantis will make a small appearance in the superhero ensemble before having a bigger role in 2017's Justice League Part One and then headlining 2018's Aquaman. For much of last year, Momoa evaded questions over his rumored involvement in the DC Cinematic Universe until Warner Bros. finally confirmed his casting. Afterwards, he has been much more open about the role, and his latest interview indicates just that.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Momoa commented on the Aquaman reveal from last week and how Snyder gave him the heads-up shortly before breaking the Internet. "That was a shocker for sure. It was supposed to be a surprise in 2016, so it definitely helps [our show]. I’ve been holding that secret for a long time. Star Melissa Benoist spoke with Comic Book Resourcesat Film Independent's Spirit Awards ceremony, where she commented on Kara Zor-El being a "relatable"character. "What's so wonderful about her is that she is such a relatable character, amongst her powers. Meanwhile, Benoist refused to confirm whether or not she would be wearing a version of the Supergirl costume. Dwayne Johnson Suggests That SHAZAM Movie Could Release Sooner Than Expected

Last year, before Warner Bros. announced its DC Cinematic Universe lineup, a Shazam film was one of the first movies to be confirmed, along with Justice League and Aquaman. However, it was later announced that Shazam would not hit theaters until April 5th, 2019, despite a screenwriter being hired and Dwayne Johnson being cast as Black Adam. So, it seems to be further along in development than, say, The Flash, which is coming out a year sooner and only has its lead actor attached. And now, Johnson suggests that we could indeed see Shazam earlier than expected.

Speaking with MTVat the Oscars this weekend, Johnson revealed that, with progress moving along smoothly, the film may debut sooner than what been "predicted." "You know, it may happen a little earlier than what has been predicted. The script is coming in, it's great. The support from the studio has been great." He then reaffirms that Black Adam "starts off as bad guy, turns into an anti-hero. We can m…

Michael Wilkinson Talks Designing Jason Momoa's Aquaman Costume; Jared Leto on Playing The Joker in SUICIDE SQUAD

In addition to his work on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, costume designer Michael Wilkinson also created the design for Jason Momoa's Aquaman, who makes his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year. Yesterday, director Zack Snyder revealed a first look at Momoa as the King of Atlantis, and he looks quite similar to the 1990s comic book version of the character (minus the hook hand, of course). Aquaman looks more barbaric and straight-up badass, which is what many expected when Momoa was cast.

Speaking with Toofab, Wilkinson commented on designing this look for Aquaman. "It has been a thrill and an honor to bring this iconic character to life for a modern audience. Zack Snyder has a brilliant vision for making this character powerful and relevant. I enjoyed designing a costume that reflects this vision and honors the character's rich legacy."

Wilkinson has done a terrific job with the costumes for this movie so far, and it should be interesting to …

However, the site has also learned that Gadot will shoot Wonder Woman this fall. This start date makes sense; DC's next production, Suicide Squad, will film from April to September. And Justice League Part One, where Gadot will also play Wonder Woman, will undergo production in 2016 for a November 2017 theatrical release. Perhaps Wonder Woman will film from, say, September to early 2016, G…

Possible Info on Jay Hernandez's Character and Other Villain Cameos in SUICIDE SQUAD; Will Smith Talks "Defining" Deadshot

Last night, it was reported that actor Jay Hernandez is in talks for a role in the Suicide Squad movie. All that is known about his character is that he may be one of The Joker's cellmates. And now, we have a new rumor that may reveal who Hernandez is playing, as well as what other DC supervillains we can expect to see.

According to Latino-Review's El Mayimbe, Hernandez is playing the DC villain Chato Santana, aka El Diablo. The character is said to have a small role that is only a cameo in the "super powered criminal" area of the prison, which is probably Belle Reve. As for other appearances, it sounds like we can expect fan-favorite supervillains such as Killer Frost, King Shark, Livewire and Blockbuster to pop up.

If this rumor is true, then Suicide Squad will mark the live action debuts of all of these characters except for Killer Frost; her alter ego, Caitlin Snow, is currently a series regular on The Flash. This is also a unique way to open up the villains'…

Arrow Season 3, Episode 14, 'The Return' Review

[This is a review for Arrow season 3, episode 14: Uprising. There will be spoilers.]

Oliver's return to Starling is fairly short-lived, as he almost immediately takes off again—this time with Thea—to do some training back on Lian Yu.  The two siblings don't get much time in before it's discovered that Slade Wilson has escaped from his inescapable prison, and is free on the island, setting up another showdown with Deathstroke.

Unfortunately, the arrow misses the mark in almost every way possible in this episode.  Most things that happen almost completely lack justification, and the episode plays out more like a piece of fan fiction than the show we grew to appreciate last season (and moments in season 3).

First of all, the flashbacks need to stop.  The flashback story has progressed so close to the start of the show that many points are starting to conflict.  This flashback places Oliver Queen in Starling City to attempt to stop Chien Na Wei from selling the Omega at an au…

We learned last week that Joel Kinnaman is expected to replace Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg, and now, we have word on another addition to this strong ensemble cast.
According to The Wrap, Friday Night Lights and Gangs Related actor Jay Hernandez is in talks to join the cast of Suicide Squad. His potential character is being kept under wraps, as there are currently "several" open roles for the DC supervillain film. However, The Wrap says Hernandez could be playing an inmate who shares a cell block with The Joker (Jared Leto). Again, Warner Bros. is expected to announce official casting additions to the movie before production begins, so stay tuned for more as we have it.
Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters August 5th, 2016. The third installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai…
