SUPERGIRL Pilot Casting For Obscure DC Comics Villain Lumberjack

Casting is well underway for CBS' pilot and potential series Supergirl. Melissa Benoist is set to play the titular superheroine, while Mehcad Brooks will portray a new iteration of Jimmy Olsen. Cat Grant, Hank Henshaw and Winslow Schott are also characters who have yet to be cast. And now, the casting process is ongoing for the first villain Kara Zor-El will fight in the series.

According to TV Line, Supergirl is currently casting the role of Lumberjack, who will be the antagonist of the pilot. Needless to say, Lumberjack is a particularly obscure villain in DC lore. According to DC Comics Database, he was a Canadian assassin who was a member of the group known as The Cartel. His only appearance was in an issue of Wonder Woman published in 1980. And that's about all there is to know about him. His real name - if he has one - is unknown.

In Supergirl, however, Lumberjack will be a "big, burly monster of a man, who has battled Kara’s cousin in the past." I think you al…

From Beat Cop to Mayor, 90s FLASH Alum Joins CW Cast

As a fan of the 90s CBS Flash series one of my favorite running gags was Officer Tony Bellows and his partner, Michael Murphy. The pair spends most of the series encounter Barry's alter ego and debating whether or not they saw what they saw.It seems I was in good company, as Vito D'Ambrosio will be reprising his role as Tony Bellows, the Mayor of Central City.

D'Ambrosio follows the lead of John Wesley Shipp, Amanda Pays and Mark Hamill.Like Hamill and Pays, he's playing a character of the same name but in a new position. He will be reunited with both Shipp and Hamill in episode seventeen which centers on The Trickster.
Beyond his role on the 90s series, D'Ambrosio has worked along actors like Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in The Color of Money. He also worked with Kevin Costner and Sean Connery in The Untouchables. His upcoming appearance on The Flash will also mark his third foray into the DC Universe as he had a guest role on Lois and Clark. Jason Momoa Says His AQUAMAN Won't Be Blonde

It sometimes seemed last year that Jason Momoa playing Aquaman was the worst kept secret ever.Every few weeks, a rumor would pop up somewhere from "reliable sources" that he was playing the part only for Momoa to either blow the question off or say emphatically that he was not. That finally came to an end recently and Momoa has been able to offer more than non-committals.At Sundance he answered some questions at a Smart Works panel and spoke on a number of things.
He was asked about Zack Snyder's version of the Sea King and had this to say: "Well, things are going to be a little different. When I first went in I met with Zack [Snyder]. His idea is pretty amazing. When I went in, he told me … my jaw kind of dropped. My jaw doesn’t normally drop. What he has planned for the DC world and for … definitely for Aquaman is something that, you know… I think I was brought on for a certain reason and they got some really cool plans for him. I’m really excited for everyone to s…

Green Lantern is expected to feature in 2017's Justice League Part One and/or 2019's Justice League Part Two, but whether it is Hal Jordan, John Stewart or another character is unknown. Now, one actor has thrown his hat into the ring to play John Stewart.

Transformers and Fast & Furious actor Tyrese Gibson has taken to his Facebook and Instagram accounts to campaign for the role of Green Lantern. Margot Robbie Comments On Playing Harley Quinn In SUICIDE SQUAD

The Suicide Squad movie has recruited several high-profile actors to its cast, including Will Smith, Jared Leto and (should a deal close) Viola Davis. However, inarguably one of the most exciting casting choices is Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, marking the fan-favorite character's big screen debut. Following her much-talked about role in The Wolf of Wall Street, Robbie has become a heavily sought-after actress in Hollywood. She has particularly become a favorite at Warner Bros., who has cast her in upcoming movies Focus, Tarzan and, of course, Suicide Squad. And now, Robbie has finally commented on bringing Harley to life on film.

Speaking with MTVat the Sundance Film Festival, Robbie is inevitably asked about playing Quinn. Regarding whether or not she was nervous portraying such a popular character, she says, "Yeah, I guess it’s intimidating because there’s obviously a lot of people I want to please, and a character I have to do justice. But it’s a challenge, I’m definite…

Eisenberg is/was in negotiations to play Luthor again in Suicide Squad, but his role in that film has yet to be confirmed. There's also the possibility of Lex appearing in 2017's Justice League Part One and/or 2019's Justice League Part Two, as well as a standalone sequel to Man of Steel.
