Luc Roderique Joins THE FLASH Cast as Jason Rusch

The Flash returns
with a new episode tonight but today there was a bit of casting news as Luc
Roderique joins the cast as Jason Rusch according to Ksitetv.com.
Roderique is a native of Ottawa, Ontario.  He’s studied acting from an early age,
attending schools such as; Ottawa’s Canterbury High School for the Arts as well
as Studio 58 in Vancouver.  He’s already
built up a resume that includes films such as 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 2014’s Godzilla.  He also has
several TV appearances but will be familiar to CW viewers for his turns on Supernatural and The 100.  Roderique will also
be seen in the pilot episode of iZombie
when it debuts in 2015. (imdb)
Roderique will be playing Jason Rusch, a character very familiar
to Firestorm fans.  Born in Detroit, Rusch
was introduced in 2004 after Ronnie Raymond was killed in the Miniseries event Identity Crisis.  He received the powers from Firestorm and
took over in a Firestorm solo title.  He
remained half of Firestorm with several other characters prior to the New 52
Relaunch in 2011, since then he’s been part of Firestorm with Ronnie Raymond.
On The Flash,
Rusch is described as a “graduate
student at Hudson University, he was part of Martin Stein’s research team on
the F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. project.”
He is set to appear in the tenth episode of
season one.  With Ronnie’s appearance already
on the series and Martin Stein’s upcoming appearance on Flash, this news begs a question; assuming there will be a
Firestorm, who will the hero consist of?
No doubt, future episodes will answer that question.
