Will Felicity Smoak Join The Birds Of Prey On ARROW?

Arrow S2E17 is titled “Birds of Prey”, and it is expected to lay the groundwork for the DC team of the same name. Both Black Canary and Huntress will feature, but who would be the third member? It’s unlikely that they’ll use Barbara Gordon/Oracle, as that character would likely be restricted to upcoming Batman movies and/or the Gotham TV series. However, many fans have speculated that fan-favorite Felicity Smoak could fill the Oracle role. While promoting Arrow, executive producer Marc Guggenheim was asked if we would see Felicity have some role in the “Birds of Prey” episode. “She plays a role, but not in the way you’re hoping. Hopefully we’ll get there–that occurred to us as well but we didn’t have an opportunity to do that in [Episode] 17.” 

So, the door isn’t completely closed. It is also widely speculated that Felicity will make some sort of appearance in The CW’s Flash spin-off, as she and Barry Allen developed a close bond in the Arrow mid-season finale. “Birds of Prey” airs on March 26th. [Via ComicBook.com]
