The CW Updates On THE FLASH Series; ARROW Universe Is Separate From GOTHAM’s

The CW is holding its panel at TCA today, and as expected, we have minor updates on a couple of its DC television shows. Network president Mark Pedowitz said he was confident that the planned Flash pilot – which spins off from Arrow – will be ordered for a full series. He stated that the network decided to go with a separate pilot rather than a backdoor pilot because it could have a “big launch”, similar to Arrow
Additionally, Pedowitz confirms that Fox’s Gotham series will have no impact on Arrow or The Flash, as it is set in a separate universe from The CW’s projects. With this and the recent confirmation of no connection to the DC Cinematic Universe as well, it looks like the Batman prequel series is indeed its own thing. Finally, the CW president says that a script for the potential Hourman series isn’t in yet. With The CW’s panel ongoing, expect more updates to come soon. [Via KSiteTV]
